Frequently Asked Questions

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y as a global day dedicated to giving back. The goal was to create an annual tradition, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, where charities, families, businesses, community centers, and individuals around the world come together to celebrate generosity and to give.
