Summer Bridge Program

Innovation Grant

The summer bridge program is intended to prepare students to enter into college by fostering greater self-confidence, building self-esteem, learning more effective study skills, and developing a career and life plan.  Students will take the Math and English placement tests.  These tests will give insight into the individuals own strengths and weaknesses for succeeding in college.  After taking the placement test, student will choose from: Math 18803, English: ENG 10503, ENG 11103, ENG 10501, and LA 10001 Gateway to Success.  These classes will apply towards completion of their degree program.  This program is FREE (tuition, student fee, textbooks and gas card are paid for through the innovation grant).  Summer Bridge students will be working with the ASPIRE program for course prep two weeks prior to Rio’s summer semester.  Summer Bridge classes will start May 20th and run through the summer semester.  For more information on how to get started.
